dear scarlett,
it has been a busy week. on tuesday we brought you to your first baby signing story time. it was really cute because i held you while daddy practiced the signs and i could tell he was a bit nervous because he did his nervous foot tap. i admit, it was a bit weird for me at first too, with the singing of the kids' songs and signing at the same time. but then it was fun. so fun, that we brought you to another one on thursday!
on a sad note, which may possibly be a blessing in disguise, i found out that i am losing my job next week. i really love my job because it's so flexible and i can even work at home and be with you. i'm not sure what i want to do. i can stay home maybe for a few months or look for work. don't know what to do yet little baby.
we went to a birthday party today for baby noah, he turned 1! and i met someone who works at a company that i would love to work for. and it was fun talking to her because she was so interested in what it was like to be a new mommy and she really liked your cloth diaper! i love talking to people about being a new mom. i think sometimes i scare them because i am too honest, but hey, someone's gotta be.
tonight when we got home after the party, i was motivated to bake cookies. daddy helped by taking out all the ingredients while i put you to sleep. anyway they are really good. they taste like brownie cookies. one day, we'll bake them together.
oh well you just woke up crying, so i better go.
