i've been "back to work" since the 1st. we have not been busy and i have been working from home so it has been bad. plus bernie is on paternity leave. we should be getting more busy in jan though.
what have we been up to...
12/4 - took baby to java mama for her first pic with santa. we barely caught santa!!! he was walking out of jm in the parking lot and i was like "santa!!!" so he was nice enough and took a pic with her in the parking lot next to a tree, haha. i'm glad she did not cry =) then we went to dec nights in balboa park with the aragons. bernie wanted to bring the stroller, i was against it but he said he would push it. it wasn't as bad as i thought. i was nervous about feeding her since we were out all day in the park but that wasn't bad either. i had my nursing cover and just sat wherever i could to feed her. then we would use the patemm pad to change her diaper on a nice patch of grass. she did get fussy towards the end of the night and i suppose it was because she was tired, plus she had been in the stroller almost all day and i think just wanted to be held, poor baby.
12/5 - we decided to be brave and take baby to california adventure since our free tickets were expiring. we survived! and did not use the stroller! i had a really great time. it just felt so empowering that we could take her to an amusement park and still have a good time. sure, we did not get on any rides, but we did see the aladdin show, the pixar play parade, and a dance crew show which featured mickey mouse. that was pretty cool. ca adventure also has a nice baby facility where you can nurse and change diapers. but i nursed wherever in the park but we went to the facility to change her diaper because i am still a little ick about public restrooms. we had fastpasses to the world of color but it started raining and we were getting tired so we didn't go. that's ok, maybe next time.

i did my first postpartum race last weekend, a nice 4miler in scripps ranch. my time was a little over 42 min. yes!

baby has been such a joy to have. this week i have found myself becoming more attached to her and just loving her more and more. she smiles and coos, it's so fricken adorable.
